New Hampshire Grand Assembly 2007

The Radisson Hotel in Nashua was the site for all the FUN in New Hampshire as the Amazing Mayzies and the Star Bellied Sneetches finished their year as  Grand Officers and Grand Representatives.

The Grand Assembly room was decorated with the many Seuss Characters we met this year. There was the Cat in the Hat, Sam-I-am, Lorax and Horton, as well as many , MANY Stars to make the Grand Ballroom glitter and sparkle! And who could forget the wonderful Truffela Trees and all the Daisies! The Assemblies all did  wonderful job creating their own WHO and displayed them in the Northwest corner.

The weekend started with a beautiful Vespers service done by Miss Lindsey Betz, Grand Chaplain. We all learned about the importance of time and how to make each an every second count  with our friendships throughout Rainbow, and in our own personal lives. Thank you Lindsey- We love you!!!!

After ritual opening GWA Miss Ashley Steele did a beautiful job with a rededication ceremony for our new initiates this year. The Grand Representatives, under leadership and direction of Miss Stephanie Morrison Grand Love and Ambassador to the Grand Reps, dressed in costumes representing their states, did a nice job presenting information  that they learned about their states.

Friday evening started the girls up with exceptional drills done by the Grand Officers and Grand Representatives under the leadership and direction of Miss Allyson Britko, Grand Drill Leader, Miss Emily Smith, Grand Faith, and Miss Stephanie Morrison, Grand Love and Ambassador. A Cavalcade of Flags was then presented  and then introductions of many Masonic and Eastern Star dignitaries was done. Several girls were awarded Scholarships for higher education by the NH Rainbow/Grand Lodge Scholarship committee. Miss Ashley Steele, GWA, was able to presentat a check for over $3000 to the Reach Out and Read Foundation, her charity this year.

Saturday morning sessions had us saying farewell to several Rainbow Girls as the graduated into Majority ranks. Election of the GWA and GWAA was then done and Miss MacKenzie Hussman and Miss Allyson Britko were elected respectively. Our Pledge girls presented a skit for the GWA and had Ashley dancing and skipping on the Grand Assembly floor- these pledges sure do know how to have a lot of FUN!

Saturday afternoon was a real treat as we  watched the NH Assemblies as well as the Out of State visitors perform their drills for the drill competition. Then it was time for the Grand Banquet where many Awards were given out and the new Grand Officers and Grand Representatives were announced. Miss Kairee Peek was named Grand Officer of the year and Miss Samantha Fowler was named Grand Representative of the year.

Sunday morning was ritual closing and the retiring of the Grand Officer and Representatives of the 2006-2007 year, and tears of sadness were abounding. Then it was time for the Installation of the new Grand Officers and Representatives for 2007-2008- as Miss MacKenzie Hussman leads her Liberty Ladies and Traveling Taxi Cabs through the next  Grand year.
