Grand Officers Reception, July 2001

NH Rainbow traveled back in time to the 1950’ at the Franklin Masonic temple for the Reception of the 2001-2002 Pink Ladies and their Poodle Pals. Many people were in attendance for a standing room only event. Pemi Assembly #28 did a fantastic job transforming the Assembly room into a 1950’s Sock Hop dance floor as we all enjoyed watching Mom And Dad Grill as a 50’s bunny and greaser “cut a rug” to the sounds of 50’s tunes.

Kelli, with a special guest from the NH Association for the Blind, explained to us the program for which she will be raising funds as her Charity this Grand Year. We will be having a 50’s Sock Hop and a Christmas Wreath Sale. The girls will also be having Penny wars for the Rainbow Scholarship fund. The Assemblies will also be collecting used eyeglasses to donate to the Lions club, under the direction of our Grand Historian, the honor station this year.

The girls were then all treated to a hand clapping and toe tapping good time by the Hillbilly Stompers, and many of the audience had a great time playing ‘instruments’ along with the group and dancing with their furry marionette friends. Later all headed to the dining hall downstairs for a delicious chicken bar-b-que and fun fellowship.
