Grand Assembly 2002

J uly 5, 6, and 7th, was New Hampshire’s Shake Rattle and Roll Grand Assembly Sessions at the Marriott in Nashua NH . With Our Grand Worthy Advisor Kelli- Ann leading us in the East, these grand sessions were the best yet. On Friday, we started with Vesper Service under the direction of our Grand Chaplain, Abbie Gregory. This Vesper’s service was centered around Patriotism and was very moving.

NH Grand Officers 2001-2002   NH Grand Reps 2001-2002

We had Ritual opening and Initiation and initiated two new girls into Rainbow. All the Grand Officers did a wonderful job in their ritual work. The Grand Representatives put on a great program enriching us all with their knowledge  about Rainbow in other jurisdictions throughout the world.

Grand Reps Drill 2001-2002

Friday night we reconvened for a special degree called “the Time Capsule” in which each Grand Officer placed a special item that represented something that happened throughout the year, into a capsule to remember their year with Kelli Ann by. This was a beautiful degree was followed by a memorable Flag tribute, by Tracey Smith our Grand Worthy Associate Advisor, with the assistance of the Grand Representatives.

Saturday sessions began with our Grand Cross of Color degree in which 10 girls and adults received this very high honor. It was then on to the Majority Service where some of our rainbow sisters tearfully received their majority from Rainbow. We had elections of  the Grand Worthy Advisor and the Grand Worthy Associate Advisor. New Hampshire Rainbow is pleased to announce that the Grand Worthy Advisor elect is Tracey Smith from Nashua #9 and the Grand Worthy Associate Advisor elect is Elizabeth McFadden of Derry #15.

The Saturday Night Banquet is always bundles of fun. The Assembly room was magically transformed into a beautiful banquet with wonderful decorations. This year we had a special display as the Grand Officers were introduced. We had a slide show with pictures of all the Grand Officers throughout the year, done by Tiffany Pond Grand Historian, with the help of Allison Smith, Kelli-ann Morrison and Tracey Smith.

On Sunday we had our Ritual closing and retiring. Kelli Ann’s speech was very moving and the retiring march was equally impressive.
